Charles R. McWilliams, age 87 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 10:48AM. He was born in Lynch, KY on August 27, 1928 to John and Flora (Burton) McWilliams. Charles was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was inducted into the Ohio Senior Olympics Hall of Fame in 2010 for Basketball. Charles enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, sports activities, and spending time with his family. On May 14, 1954 in Hamilton, he married Marilyn Konrad, and she preceded him in death in 2002.
He is survived by five children, Marti Cannon, Randy (Kim) McWilliams, Tami (Jim) Kollstedt, Ralph (Carla) McWilliams, Dan (Karla) McWilliams; 11 grandchildren, Rick, Kris, Kasey, Craig, Kyle, Matthew, Timothy, Keith, Patrick, Laura, and Jenna; and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Irene Brate; brother John McWilliams; and son in law, Rick Cannon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton St., on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 10:00 am with Father Michael Pucke celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Epilepsy Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
