Charles R. Popp, Sr, age 69 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014. He was born in Hamilton on August 30, 1944 to Raymond and Anna Mae (Daily) Popp. Charles was Corpsman in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Smart Paper after 42 years. Charles was the AmVets Post #2 Honor Guard Chaplain, and Butler County Combined Honor Guard Chaplain.
He is survived by his son, Charles (Jennette) Popp, Jr.; step children, Lisa, Teresa, Vincent, Johnny and the rest of the Whicker family; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Whicker Popp; and his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Full Gospel Mission, 2030 William St., Williamsdale, OH 45011.
