Charles F. "Buck" Weaver, age 72 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 1:25 AM. He was born in Hamilton on December 28, 1937 the son of Herbert and Stella (Loman) Weaver. Buck was employed by Beckett Paper/ International paper as a papermill supervisor for 29 years, retiring in March 1994. He was a member of the Amvets Post 1983, Monkey Mutual Aid Society #1, and a Master Mason with the Benjamin Franklin Lodge #719. Buck enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife. He loved to fish in the north woods and in his earlier years was active in softball, basketball, and football. He was also a past member of the Butler County Mental Board and was a Junior Achievement Advisor. On October 6, 1978 in Hamilton he was married to Marilyn Rader.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Weaver of Hamilton; three daughters, Andrea "Amy" (Tim) Walker of Glendale, Arizona, Kimberly (Brent) Williams of Phoenix, Arizona, and Pamela (Daniel) Feix of Eaton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Will Walker, Emma Williams, Jeremy Feix, and Benjamin Sandifer; three great-grandchildren; Caleb, Kameron, and Hannah Sandifer; a sister, Darlene (Melvin) Kelly of Marion, Ohio; three nephews, Jeff, Steve, and Chris Kelly and their families. He was preceded in death by his, parents; a son, Randy Scott Cass; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carlos and Myrtle (Durham) Rader.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Paul Tillett pastor of Freedom Baptist church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Buck was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be sadly missed by all. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Southwest Ohio for all their loving care and support.
