Charlotte B. Deaton, age 82 of Seven Mile, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, February 12, 2012. She was born in Alexandria, Kentucky on July 21, 1929 the daughter of Wesley and Mable (Holden) Painter. Charlotte was employed as an LPN for Sunnybreeze Nursing Home for 23 years, retiring in 1988. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Christian Center and also attended Freedom House Church of God. Charlotte loved the Lord and her family, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and listening to church music. On January 14, 1949 in Newport, Kentucky she married James Deaton, and he preceded her in death in 2003.
She is survived by a daughter, Kendra Lynn Deaton of Seven Mile; a brother, A.J. Painter of Alexandria, Kentucky; two sisters, Alberta Auchter of Falmouth, Kentucky and Carleen Kees of Alexandria, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Eric (Bobbi Jo) Bowling, James (Tonya) Bowling, Ashley Deaton, and Steve Rogers; and five great-grandchildren, Brittney, Erica, Jimmy, Brandon, and Connor. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Vaunda Bowling; and three sisters, Eloise McCormick, Nevalee Eshman, and Laverne Braun.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 12:00 noon with Pastors Larry and Karen Fultz of Freedom House Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
