Christine Batdorf

Christine Batdorf, age 88 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Thursday, July 23, 2015. She was born in Hamilton on January 28, 1927 to Ura and Mary (Harrison) Bowling. On July 10, 1948 in Newport, Kentucky she married Charles Batdorf, who preceded her in death in 1992. Chris cherished her family in all she did and said. This love radiated beyond her family and into the world. Her contagiously joyous personality touching all she met.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Mark) Baden; grandchildren, Angela (Jamie) Balent, Jamie Hingsbergen, and Skyler (Dyani Saxby) Shollenbarger; 8 great grandchildren, Hunter, Drake, Raven, Ella, Kyla, Will, Dustyn, Dylan; a great-great grandchild, Ayden; brother, Leon Bowling; and a sister, Ruthann Bowling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Batdorf; son, Greg Batdorf; a brother, John Bowling; sister, Mae Feuerbach; grandson, Chad Batdorf; and her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Irving Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 11:00 -1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
