Christopher William Dawson, age 19 of Oxford passed away at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 10:12 PM. He was born in Cincinnati on April 11, 1989 the son of Steve and Nancy (Hasselfeld) Dawson. Chris had been sworn in to the U.S. Air Force and was scheduled to begin basic training on November 8, 2008. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 513.
He is survived by his parents, Steve and Nancy Dawson of Oxford; three brothers, Steve (Stacy) Dawson, Nick (Amanda) Dawson, both of Cincinnati, and Jon Dawson of Oxford; four nephews, Hunter, Damon, Logan, and Davan; grandparents, Bob and Sherry Hasselfeld of West Chester; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Sandy Dawson.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Mike Rester officiating. Burial will follow in College Corner Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
