Claire E. Bauer

Claire E. Bauer, age 95 of Hamilton, passed on Sunday, July 24, 2022. Claire was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 12, 1927 to Harry and Elsie (Hake) Wolke.  Claire was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, loved playing board games, working puzzles and watching the Game Show Network. On June 25, 1949 Claire was married to Charles A Bauer, and he preceded her in death in 1976.

Claire is survived by her children, Sue ( Butch)  Smith, Jerry ( Terri ) Bauer, Diane ( Larry ) Cox, Tom ( Judy ) Bauer, Nancy ( Bill ) Flick and Pam ( Rudy ) Nieman. She leaves 10 grandchildren, Kristie Smith, Scott ( Maggie ) Smith, Christopher Bauer, Brent Bauer, Evan Bauer, Lindsay ( EJ ) Flick-Cardona, Kristen ( Matt ) Flick-Bolser , Amanda ( Mike ) Alexander and Daniel ( Hazel ) Partin and 13 great grandchildren.  Claire was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Hank and Ronnie Wolke and four sisters, Elaine Emenaker, Dorothy Duggins, Laverne Wolpert and Naomi O'Hara.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton St., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Michael Pucke of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church.
