Clare O.Oufe Sr

Clare O. Sroufe, age 92 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. She was born in College Hill, Ohio on April 17, 1919 the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Gosink) Teufel. Clare was an active member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. Clare was a beloved wife of 60 years and a loving mother who enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Carl "Tiny" Sroufe of Hamilton; daughters, Susan (Doug) Hill of Orange Park, Florida and Sandra (Kevin) Seigneur of Bethel, Ohio; sisters, Cathy Koelker of Madeira and Sr. Mary Lou Teufel of Maryknoll, New York; grandchildren, Anthony, Eric David and Nicholas Seigneur and Megan and Eric Paul Hill; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kaelynn, and Haiden; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Rita Kunze, Dick, Jack, Angela, Anthony and Aquina Teufel.

Visitation will be 5-8pm, Sunday, February 26, 2012, at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, Monday, February 27, 2012, at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church with Fr. Ronald Haft, Celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or the Maryknoll Sisters.
