Clarence Root

Clarence Root, age 94 of Hamilton, passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on June 23, 2017. Clarence was born in Manchester, Kentucky on June 10, 1923 to Jim and Emmer Root (nee Smith). He married Ruby Marcum, December 18, 1950. Clarence was a long time member of Pentecostal Faith Church of New Miami.

Clarence is survived by his loving wife Ruby, of 66 years; Son, Kenneth Root; Daughters, Rita (Lonnie) Spurlock, Deanna (Willie) Smith; Grandchildren, Ben Root, Ashley (Chris) Bloom, Travis (LaBriska) Smith and Jared (Angel) Smith; Great-Grandchildren, Colby, Adley Bloom and Haisley Smith. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Emmer Root; Siblings, Martha Henson, Roy Root, Effie Harris, Dallas Root, Myrtle Gray, Ernest Root, Arlie Root, Sallie Root and Mae Eaton; Daughter, Sherry Root; Grandson, Shawn Root.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Allen and Charlie Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
