Claude Shelton

Claude Shelton, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015 in his home with his family by his side.. He was born in Knox County, Kentucky on March 12, 1936 to Edward and Gertrude (Cambell) Shelton. Claude served in the Unites States Army, stationed in Hamburg, Germany, and was a member of the Amvets Post #1983. He retired from Beckett Paper Company after 28 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis (Michael) Mays of Louisville ,KY; two grandchildren, Jamison (Amy) Mays of Liberty Twp., OH, and Kendra (Dan) Catherman of Hamilton, OH; two great-grandchildren, Kaeli and Brayden, with another great-granddaughter expected in early October; nephew, Darl (Barb) Shelton of Mosheim, TN; niece, June (Dave) Spoon of Morristown, TN; and two great friends, Maford Cole and Jim Ivers. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Hetrick; 4 brothers, Earl John, Jack, and Everett Shelton; 3 sisters, Marie, Beatrice, and his twin sister Esther Lee; and his parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
