Cleopha "Cleo" Ketay

September 4, 1925 — October 5, 2016

Cleopha "Cleo" Becker Reiter Ketay, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. She was born on September 4, 1925 the daughter of Mary Frederick and Cleophas Becker; they both preceded her in death. Cleo attended St. Veronica Grade School and graduated from Notre Dame High School class of 1943. On September 20, 1945 Cleo and Donald Reiter were married at St. Veronica Church by Rev. Henry Gramann while Don was on leave from the service. There were 3 children from this marriage; Donna (Bob) Kurtz, Dennis (Linda) Reiter and Diane (Heinz) Rickli all of Fairfield. Donald Reiter passed away May 14, 1956. Cleo married John Ketay and one daughter was born from this marriage, Deborah (Charles) Hedley from Danville, Indiana. Besides Cleo’s parents she lost four brothers Al (Mary) Becker, Frederick [Ted] (Marietta) Becker, Robert [Bob] (Carol) Becker, and John [Jack] (Marilyn) Becker; Jack was City manager of Hamilton. She also lost four sisters Mary (Norman) Montgomery, Agnes (Jack) Betzold, Alma (John) "Dode" Adlesperger and Sister Margaret Becker SND, and one granddaughter, Tonya Granville. Cleo has 12 Grandchildren; Jenny Michaels, Mike Kurtz, David Kurtz, Chris Kurtz, Shelly Conn, Lisa Kuhn, Kathy Kremer; Anna Hedley, Bill Hedley, Alice Hedley, Brandi Potter and Joe Thompson and 22 great grandchildren.

Cleo loved to skate, bowl, golf, read and cook. She worked at many different jobs but the one that gave her most satisfaction was "Triad" and the Pyramid Hill.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 5-8pm at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 10 am with Fr. Mike Pucke Officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Julie Billiart Church or Badin High School.
