Clifford Ernest Fisher, age 86 of Fairfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Cliff was born in Lafollette, Tennessee on November 5, 1934 to James and Bessie Fisher. Cliff served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On December 24, 1952, he married Mary Magdalene Hodge. Together they raised their five sons until her passing on May 18, 1982. Cliff retired from Road Way Express after 30 years of service. Cliff enjoyed fishing, playing softball, bowling and music.
Cliff is survived by his sons, Lonnie (Nancy) Fisher, Kenneth (Cheryl) Fisher, Gregory (Kathy) Fisher, Dwayne Fisher and Daryl (Samantha) Fisher; his wife, Willa Fisher and her four children; his grandchildren, Danny, Greg Jr. (Lyndse), Melissa (Curtis), Sarah (Corey), Glen, Stephen (Allison), Tyler and Jared; his four great-grandchildren; his sister, Thelma Gilliam; his brother and sister-in-laws, Clyde, Jack, Rose, Donnie and Clifford; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, James Fisher and Bessie (Fred) Jones; his wife of 29 years, Mary Fisher; his siblings, Nathan, Jack, Tommy, Charles, Fred Bufford, Dorothy, Wanda, Dola and Linda; and his brother and sister-in-laws, Mack, Bob and Dot.
Funeral service will be held at Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church, 1321 Pater Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Denny Matheny officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church.
