Age 85 of Hamilton went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was born March 11, 1930 in Plank, Kentucky on Martin’s Creek to Leander and Stella (Murphy) Myers. He married the love of his life Doris (Murphy) on September 16, 1950 in Liberty, Indiana. They were blessed with two children, Cliff DLynn and Dawana Lee. Clifford retired from Champion International after 47 years of service. He was an active member of Richmond Road Baptist Church where he served as greeter. Clifford was a Kentucky Colonel, member of Washington Lodge 17 F & AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason. He was an avid hunter and wood worker. Mr. Myers served in the US Army during the Korean War. He served 2 years active duty with 19 months on foreign soil. He was in the Reserves for 8 years with honorary discharge in 1961. Clifford received the National Defense Service Award. A very devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he is survived by his wife Doris of 65 years, son Rev. Cliff (Patty) Myers of Cincinnati, OH., daughter, Dawana (Steve) Lucas of Trenton, OH., 4 grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Myers of Mt. Orab, OH., Trina (Tyler) Godbey of Cincinnati, OH., Alyssa (Ryan) Miller of Hamilton, OH., Dustin Lucas of Trenton, OH., two great grandchildren, Alexandrea Grace Myers, Piper Dawn Godbey, niece who was like a daughter to him, Kitty (Rob) Wells of Trenton, OH. Very special friends, Steve Ingram (who was like a son), Harold Swain, Morris Shelley, Bob Miller and many other close Friends, nieces and nephews. Preceded him in death were his parents Leander and Stella Myers, sister Mattie Medford, brother Elmer Smallwood. Visitation will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 11:00-1:00 pm with funeral services at 1:00 pm. His son Rev. Cliff Myers will be officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Richmond Road Baptist Church in his memory.
