Clyde "Red" Allen

Clyde "Red" Allen, age 81 of Hamilton passed away on October 24, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky on June 8, 1932 to Elbert and Della Allen (Murray). On February 26, 1951 he was united in marriage to Myrtle Wilson. He retired from Mosler Safe Company.

He was survived by his wife of 62 years, Myrtle Allen; and his 8 children, Della (Parker) Couch, Mary (Johnny) Gadberry, Kathy (Donnie) Hubbard, Marlene (Tony) Day, Willis (Kathy) Allen, Debbie (Mac) McQueen, Danny (Julie) Allen, and Donnie (Vonda) Allen, all from Hamilton. There are 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great- grandchild, 4 sisters, 7 brothers, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Gilbert Allen; 1 sister, Blanch Hinkle; 1 great-great- grandson, Cory Tiger Cox; and a very special niece, Mary Kay (Hinkle) Couch.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 10AM with Pastor Dennis Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 5-8PM at the funeral home. The family would like to give a very special thanks to his nurse Cindy Bridges and Doctor Peter Scheidler.
