Clyde Burkhart

Clyde Arthur Burkhart, age 75 of Monroe, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Clyde was born in London, Kentucky on April 6, 1946 to Arthur and Bernice (Hammons) Burkhart. On September 4, 1965, he married Charlotte Roaden in Hamilton, Ohio. Clyde served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. Clyde loved being in the outdoors (especially his family holler in Kentucky) and enjoyed activities that included boating, cars, motorcycles and 4 wheeling.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 56 years, Charlotte Burkhart; his children, Rebecca (Brian) Richards and Steven (Angela) Burkhart; his six grandchildren, Nickolas (Elizabeth) Richards, Allison Richards, Samuel Richards, Chelsea Burkhart, Alexander Burkhart and Audrey Burkhart; his two great-granddaughters, Lydia and Amelia Richards and one great-grandson on the way; his two sisters, Wanda Faye Williams and Kathy Westerfield; his two brother-in-laws, Chester and Butch Roaden; his sister-in-law, Fran Yauger; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Clyde was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Burkhart; his step-mother, Lora (Jarrett) Burkhart; his father, Arthur Burkhart; his niece, Tammy Arguelles; and his nephew, Weston Williams.

Visitation will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Brian Richards and Pastor Ken Henderson officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
