Clyde Croucher passed away at his home on Monday June 9, 2014. He was born July 8, 1925 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of William Earl and Sarah (Creech) Croucher. He married Joy Lavon Miller on October 18, 1947 at the First Church of God and had 66 years together. He retired as a Supervisor from Champion International, Hamilton, Ohio, after 46 years. Clyde was a good bowler and on June 21, he bowled a 300 (perfect game) two weeks before his 70th birthday at Gilmore Lanes. Clyde enjoyed playing cards, especially Poker with his friends.
He is survived by his wife Joy and two children; Alphonse Clyde (Margaret) Croucher and Darlene (Croucher) Curtner; six grandchildren Denise (Jon) Varelman, Julie Lynn (Chad) Ricks, Lori Renee (Justin) Weaver, Rodney Todd Schooley, Kelli Jo (Sean) Timon and Sarah Nichole Schooley; and ten great grandchildren; sisters Geneva (Harold) Stigall, Edna Davis, Lorraine Smallwood, Betty Jane Massey, Imogene (Ernest) Jarvis and brothers Steve (Judy) Croucher and Herman (Juanita) Croucher. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Deltha Croucher, Dorothy Hilton, Marjorie Miller and brothers Earl Croucher and Bert Croucher.
Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11 AM with Herman Lee Croucher officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 10- 11 AM at the funeral home.
