Columbus Hensley, age 86 of Fairfield, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017. Columbus was born in Manchester, Kentucky on July 29, 1931 to Milfred Hensley and Sarah (Rogers) Hensley. On May 19, 1951 in Covington, KY, he married Joyce Baker. Columbus worked at Champion Paper Company for 41 years.
Columbus is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce A. Hensley; his children, Gary Hensley David Hensley, Carla Hoffman, Tim Hensley, and Kevin Hensley; one brother, Steve Hensley. Columbus was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Lucy Mae Godsey.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
