Connie Sue Burton

Connie Sue Burton, age 64 of Hamilton passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. She was born in Hamilton on November 11, 1947 the daughter of Eugene C. and Lucille (Million) Simmons. On June 21, 1968 in Hamilton, she married Dennis Ray Burton. Connie was employed as an Administrative Associate at Miami University for 24 years, retiring in 2009. She attended Princeton Pike Church of God.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dennis Ray Burton of Hamilton; four children, Robert Eugene (Amanda) Burton of Hamilton, Kristin Dennise Burton of Fairfield, Lisa Lynne Burton and Tiffany Renee (David) Grubb, both of Hamilton; a brother, Michael William (Nancy) Simmons of Hamilton; she was a devoted and loving grandmother, "Mimi" to nine grandchildren, Mason Kash, Madison Katelynne, and Maxwell Kain Burton, Kelsey Lynne, Cyruss Paul, and Alexa Ray Webster, Makenzy Ray and Karly Rose Grubb, and Holli Marie Keillor; a special niece, Regina Ruth Reed, and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Connie was also like a mother and mentor to Reginald Taylor, Danny Booher, and Jim Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Dave Garrett of New Haven Worship Center and Rev. Ron Medley of Princeton Pike Church of God officiating. Cremation will be held. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Mercy Hospital of Fairfield ICU and the Rehabilitation Center.
