Connie Y. Sadik

June 29, 1961 — April 15, 2025

Connie Yvonne Sadik, Age 63, of Liberty Twp., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 29, 1961 the daughter of Harrison "Harry" Jarvis and Ruby Geraldine Jarvis. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Dr. Sameh Sadik, her one sister Pamela Darlene Jarvis of Hamilton, Ohio, her loving aunt Marcella Baldwin of West Chester, Ohio, and her loving uncle Jim Vaughn of Richmond, Indiana. She also leaves many cousins, and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and devoted friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison "Harry" Jarvis and Ruby Geraldine Jarvis, and two brothers, Garry and Russell Jarvis. At the tender age of five, Connie committed her life to Jesus. Even from an early age, she possessed passion and sincerity for helping others know about Jesus. Her sister, uncle, and cousins often held “kids revival services” in the backyard of her grandparents’ homes. It was there that she led other children in the neighborhood to Jesus. Her passion for evangelism was born right then and there. As a teenager, Connie served in nearly every capacity of her local church; she taught Sunday School, visited nursing homes weekly, and sang in the church youth choir. She also served in the bus ministry where she performed outreach in rough neighborhoods and brought the children to church. It was this ministry that impacted both her life and the hundreds of lives of children she reached with her ministries. As a teenager she knew God called her to be a missionary! After returning home from her first trip, she was enrolled in Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. During her first year, a professor counseled her to pursue a degree in the Medical or Education fields, as that would enable her to visit countries that were closed to the Gospel. Feeling that was God’s counsel, she moved back home and enrolled at Miami University to pursue a Nursing degree. Upon becoming a Registered Nurse, she was eager to immediately go out and serve in the field, but God had His own plan for her. She spent the first few years continuing with her service at her church while also embarking on many short-term mission trips. Eventually a minister came to her church and spoke about the garbage cities of Mexico City and Operation Serve. Connie’s heart was stirred by the minister’s call for nurses to go serve in these cities. “Could this be it?” she asked herself. In April of 1991, she signed up with Operation Serve to serve in Mexico City for 10 days. It was there that her question was answered, this was indeed her calling! With the blessing and support of her parents, pastor, and four other churches, she moved to Mexico City in June of 1991, not speaking any Spanish. Connie lived and served in Mexico for seven years, facing many challenges along the way. She endured muggings, attacks, and other issues caused by the mafia that ran amuck in the garbage dumps. Through it all, the Lord granted her divine favor just as He did with Joseph, and in July of 1991, she met the man who a decade later would become her husband, Dr. Sameh Sadik. What began as a friendship developed into a loving relationship over their years serving together, and on May 12, 2001 they were married. Connie was an ordained minister with WE Fellowship as well as Hamilton Christian Center, and Oasis Fellowship International. She is also a member of The Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) and Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF). In 1988 Connie was nominated for the Merit of Life Award by the American Red Cross (Presidential Seal) and in 1990 and 1993 she was nominated for the Florence Nightingale Award, Ohio Nurses Association. Connie lived a life marked by selflessness in service of the Lord and others. Her life was a constant sacrifice to all she encountered. Her big heart allowed her to not only see the best in everyone she met, but also bring out the best in them as well. During her life and ministry with Operation Serve alone, she served and touched over 512,000 lives, leading more than 50,700 of them to accepting Jesus Christ as their savior and securing their own place in Heaven for eternity! The story of Connie is one of a little girl from a small town who, with God’s help and the Holy Spirit’s anointing, CHANGED THE WORLD! Her story took her all over the world, but it always brought her back to Hamilton Christian Center (HCC). Where she was dedicated as a baby; she grew up and made friends; she was ordained into the ministry at HHC, she was sent to the mission field from HCC, and she was even married at HCC. How fitting then, that the final chapter of her story takes place at HCC. And what a storybook ending it is, with Connie surrounded by her loved ones as we send her home to the Lord to receive her eternal reward in paradise.
