Cora Martin Browning

Cora Martin Browning, age 76 of Hamilton passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 7:40 am at the Fort Hamilton Hospice Unit. She was born February 27, 1931 in Clay County, Kentucky the daughter of Levi and Fannie (Rogers) Martin. Cora married Everett Lee Browning on February 1, 1958, and he preceded her in death in August, 1969. She is survived by her son Edward Nathan (Stephanie) Browning and her daughter Debra Ann (Willie) Mills, both of New Miami; four grandchildren, Casey and Christina Conley, Edward Lee and Jennifer Ruth Browning; and seven great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; two sisters, Flossie Barger of Berea, Kentucky and Cola (Opal) Buttree of Oxford; one brother, Tom (Barb) Martin of Mansfield, Ohio; sisters-in-law Ann Martin of Seven Mile and Sylvia Martin of Mansfield; and many nieces, nephews, and her numerous friends at the "high-rise." She was preceded in death by four brothers, Elbert, Festus, Earl, and Forrester Martin; a sister, Lillie Bowling; and brothers-in-law Vaughn Barger and Albert Bowling. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Denny Fields, Pastor of New Liberty United Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in College Corner Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
