Coy Whittemore, age 68 of Trenton, passed away at his residence on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 3:20 AM. He was born in East Bernstadt, Kentucky on November 15, 1947 the son of Elmer and Frances (Lewis) Whittemore. Coy owned and operated his own construction business for thirty years. He was a Baptist minister for thirty years and pastored at Franklin Street Baptist Church and also in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. On January 29, 1965 in East Bernstadt, Kentucky he married Zella Hensley.
He is survived by wife, Zella Whittemore of Trenton, two daughters, Angie Smith of Trenton and Anita (John) Hensley of Fairfield; nine siblings, Joan (Ernie) Trinchler, Lois (Len) Gartner, Virginia Eversole, Wayne (Linda) Whittemore, Carl (Joan) Whittemore, Odell (Connie) Whittemore, Carolyn Galloway, Larry Whittemore, Bobby Ray Whittemore; step brother, Kelly (Cheryl) Reynolds; step sister, Della (Calvin) Delph; three grandchildren, Steven (Morgan) Hensley, Nathan Smith, and Michaelia (Donald) Dozier; one great granddaughter, Jasmine Dozier; a very special niece, Misty Mathews; and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Stella, Elmer Lee, and Edward Whittemore.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
