Creed Smith

March 12, 1941 — February 27, 2011

Creed Smith, age 69, of Hamilton, went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2011 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born March 12, 1941 in Manchester, Kentucky the son of Wiley and Lucy Smith. Creed was a retired employee of the City of Hamilton and owned several business in Hamilton. His passion was coon hunting, Creed was twice the World Coon Hunter Champion. He had a love for animals and the outdoors. Creed attended Princeton Pike Church of God.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Myrtle (Simpson) Smith; Devoted daughter, Charlotte Riley; Cherished grandchildren, Joshua Chadwell and Justin Riley; trusted son-in-law, Marty Riley; many much loved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held at Princeton Pike Church of God, 4901 Millikin Rd., Hamilton, on Friday March 4th at 10:00 AM with Rev. T. E. Jake Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave. on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM.
