Curtis Smith

Curtis Smith, age 82 of Fairfield, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:58AM. He was born in Berea, KY on January 10, 1932 to Carlo and Edna (Durham) Smith. Curtis was employed at Champion Paper Company for 46 years, retiring on July 1, 1996. On March 15, 1986 in Hamilton, he married Wilma Hopkins, and she preceded him in death in 1997.

He is survived by children, Pam (Terry) Long, Rick (Bobette) Staton, Cheryl Staton, and Charles Staton; nieces and nephews, Linda Bockstiegel, Vickie (Jeff) Ebbing, Gary Smith, Tim Smith, Tari (Terry) Reames, Deborah Decatur, and Tony Brittingham, grandchildren, Ricky Jr., Ryan, B.J., Tara, Danyell, Dalana, Dylan, and Charles; great-grandchildren, Chantze, Tayley, Landon, Elizabeth, Mason, Paisley, and Kynedy; 9 great-nieces and nephews, and two special great nieces, Sara Everette and Angel Wilhelm. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Earnest Smith; one sister, Norma Jean Luera; one granddaughter, Corinne; and one niece, Brenda Riley.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10AM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 9AM-10AM at the funeral home.
