Cyrill Swegert, age 70 of Fairfield passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, May 3, 2012. He was born in Hamilton on May 29, 1941 the son of Cyrill and Cecilia (Obremski) Swegert. Cyrill served in the Strategic Air Command U.S. Air Force. He was employed as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years, retiring in 1992. On May 23, 1970 he married Doris Habel.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Swegert; siblings, Cynthia (Glenn) Weisbrodt, Jerome Swegert, and Mary C. (Michael) Balsinger; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 4pm until time of service, (7pm), Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue with Fr. Stephen Mondiek officiating.
