Dallas Hopkins

Dallas Hopkins, age 63 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 9:10 AM. He was born in Hamilton on November 2, 1947 the son of Ernie and Eula (Clark) Hopkins. Dallas was self employed in the windows and doors industry for numerous years, retiring in 2010. On September 30, 1991 in Hamilton he married Kimberly Merida. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Kimberly Hopkins of Hamilton; three children, Dallas (Michelle Day) Hopkins Jr. of Hamilton, Greg (Vicki) Hopkins of Oxford, and Carmen (Robert) Hughes of Hamilton; four brothers, Gary (Linda) Hopkins of Middletown; Danny (Dolly) Hopkins, Sammy (Belva) Hopkins, and Ted (Pam) Hopkins, all of Hamilton; one sister, Darla Strong of Hamilton; eleven grandchildren, Brittany, Justin, Dallas III, Dakota, Hunter, Kodey, Casey, Korey, Robert Jr., Nicholas, and Ryan; and two great-grandchildren, Ailey and Brayden. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Jim Strong.

Funeral service will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2047 Tuley Road, on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Cecil Day officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at the church.
