Daniel Keith Bates

Daniel Keith Bates, age 65 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025. Dan was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 7, 1960 the son of Elizabeth (Earl) McIntosh and Keith (Shirley) Bates. Dan was a hard worker at his family business, Danny’s Poultry in Hamilton. Dan worked at Basco for 14 years. He loved nature and enjoyed going to church.

Dan is survived by his fiancé of 7 years, Tammy Johnson; his children, Dorothy (Terry) Sandlin, Michael Bates and Jonathan Bates; his grandkids, Shawn, Lizzy and Brooke; his dad, Earl McIntosh; Keith (Shirley) Bates; his siblings, Roger (Kim) Bates, Randy (Holly) McIntosh, Tammy (the late L.J.) North, Debbie Johnson, Robert “Bobo” McIntosh, Brian Bates and Reena Bates; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Dan was preceded in death by his mom, Elizabeth McIntosh; and his brother, Danny Wayne McIntosh.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
