Daniel M. Cox

Daniel M. Cox, age 90 of Camden passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 4:27 PM. He was born in Berea, Kentucky on June 16, 1920 the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Peters) Cox. On July 13, 1940 in Germantown he married Edna Abrams. Daniel was a member of the Somerville Pentecostal Church; a member and Past Master of the Camden #159 F&AM; and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Edna Cox of Camden; two children, Jack (Lucille) Cox of Hamilton and Barbara (Bernell) Bishop of Camden; son-in-law, Kenny Copenhaver of Hamilton; one sister, Provy Morner of Hamilton; eight grandchildren, Angela, Brenda, Rebecca, Vance, Clint, Jacqueline, Tara, and Justin; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Janet Sue Copenhaver in 2010 and Danny Cox in 1978; eight brothers, Charles, Alfred, Elias, and Edwin Cox, and Delbert, Floyd, Ernest, and Chris Anglin; and three sisters, Ruth Bowling, Lela Hymer, and Anna Belle Hymer.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, onWednesday, December 1, 2010 at 2; 00 PM with Pastor Alan Weaver of Hamilton Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
