Daniel Floyd Peters (1958–2023)

Daniel Floyd Peters, 65, of Liberty Township, Ohio, died on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

He was born in Liberty Township in 1958 to Lucy and Edward Peters, who were filled with joy from the presence of their last blonde-haired boy, who was even named after Edward’s own father, Floyd. In his early years, you’d never see him without his dad or his dad without Danny until Edward passed early in Dan’s life.

He attended Lakota High School before graduating in 1976 and headed to his first job at General Electric where he was quick to make a positive impression and climb the ranks within the company.

The best reward from his time at GE, however, was meeting the love of his life, Donna, in the late 1970s. What followed was a whirlwind romance with the two getting married in 1980 and enjoying many years of immense happiness and deep love.

Dan and Donna couldn’t wait to start a family of their own, and their children, Nicole, Erica, and Ryan meant the world to them. The family enjoyed taking trips across the country to show horses, exploring new places and participating in many extracurricular sports.

Dan was a passionate inventor, with creations that transformed the coupon and thermal graphics industry. Although he loved boating, car shows and motorcycles, Dan’s favorite role was that as a grandpa. He treasured his time with his grandkids, Kendra and Stella, and loved being their Papaw, never failing to host and prepare grill-outs for his children, grandkids and many friends.

Dan never met a stranger and had many long-lasting friendships throughout his life. He had a way of lighting up a room that brought everyone together. Dan will always be remembered for his charisma and charm - he truly loved people. We can still hear his quippy remarks and deep laughter.

We couldn’t have asked for a better dad and Papaw and will miss him every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna, in 2011, and is survived by his children, Nicole, Erica and Ryan; grandchildren, Kendra and Stella; siblings, Edward, Shirley, Betty, Verlyn, Sandy, Jack, and Carl; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation is Friday, October 13 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, OH 45013. Immediately following visitation, at the same location, the funeral service will be held starting at 1:00 PM. The graveside service will take place at 2:30 PM at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the care of Nicole Peters would be greatly appreciated.
