Danny Philpot Jr.

Danny Philpot Jr., age 81 of Hamilton, passed away at Jamestowne on Saturday, March 8, 2025. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 12, 1943 the son of Daniel Sr. and Bertha (Frost) Philpot. Danny was employed as a maintenance technician for AK Steel for thirty years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church since 1968 and served as the Associate Pastor for  numerous years. On February 27, 1960, in Hamilton he married Judy Angel.

Danny is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Judy Philpot; three children, Daniel (Lisa) Philpot III, David W. (Marlene) Philpot, and Teresa (Scott) Durham; ten grandchildren, Eryn, Nicholas, Gregory, Keith, Michael, Maggie, Marcus, Jordy, Josh, and Zach; numerous great grandchildren; devoted lifelong friend, Fred Gaston; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by mother, Bertha Portman; father, Daniel Philpot Sr.; and two brothers, Ed Rathgens and Ronald Philpot.

Funeral service will be held at Berean Baptist Church, 6342 Hamilton Middletown Road, Middletown, Ohio, on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steven Botts officiating.  Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the church.  Memorial contributions can be made to the church.
