Danny Lee Reece

Danny Lee Reece, age 55 of Somerville passed away at University of Cincinnati Hospital on Sunday, April 25, 2010. He was born in Hamilton on April 5, 1955 the son of Benjamin and Dorothy (Rogers) Reece. Danny was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed at Colwell Flooring, and as a horticulturist at Miami University He was a member of Amvets Post #1983, Hamilton Eagles Aerie #3986, Miami Valley Labrador Retriever Club, Hamilton Dog Training Club, Izaak Walton League, and American Legion Post #138.

He is survived by a son, Nathan Reece of Hamilton; a daughter, Sarah (Brian) Wooten of Hamilton; his soul mate, Christine Carroll of Somerville; a brother, Stanley (Teresa) Reece of Hamilton; four sisters, Yvonne Chandler of Hamilton, Annette Reece of Batavia, Lynn (Danny) Rapier and Terri (Randy) Colwell, both of Hamilton; his faithful companions, Bizzy and Corey; and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Timothy Bunch of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
