Darrell S. Payne

Darrell Scott Payne, 59, passed away suddenly and peacefully Saturday, March 4, 2023 at his home. Darrell was born and raised in Seven Mile, Ohio. The son of Darrell L. Payne and Lenora (Gray) Payne.

Darrell grew up with his brother, Jerry M. Payne, and graduated from Edgewood High School where he enjoyed playing football, baseball, and participated in many other sports. Darrell enjoyed riding his motorcycle and he adored his dog and best friend, Ripley.

Darrell was loved so deeply by his close-knit family, and he will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. We do take comfort in knowing our loving heavenly father has taken him to his eternal home to be with his father and other family that has passed.

Darrell is survived by his mother Lenora, brother Jerry, his three loving aunts Ethel, Judy, and Renee, his many cousins, and several special friends.

Services will be held Friday, March 10, 2023, at 5:00 PM at Seven Mile Presbyterian Church. Officiated by Pastor Gidget Collins. The family wants all to know they are welcome to come celebrate Darrell’s life.
