Dave Warren, age 77 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 1:55 PM. He was born in Sprulie, Kentucky on November 20, 1934 the son of Henry and Allie (Robinson) Warren. Dave was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1954 to 1957. He was employed as a millwright at Hamilton Fixtures for 5 years, retiring in 1995. Dave was a member of Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God. On March 15, 1958 in Hamilton he married Wanda Jordan, and she preceded him in death in 1999; on October 27, 2000 in Hamilton he married Mary Lou (Hall) Charles.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Warren of Hamilton; seven children, Pat Huber, Sherry (Denny) Alcorn, Connie Jo Maples, Cliff (Teresa) Charles, David (Teresa) Charles, Lisa (Mark) Neal, and Randy (Lil) Charles, all of Hamilton; three brothers, Ed (Shirley) Warren, Jimmy (Dorothy) Warren, both of Barbourville, Kentucky, and Dale (Mary) Warren of Oxford; two sisters, Flossie Warren and Cookie (Eddie) Bray, both of Barbourville, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Joyce Warren of Barbourville, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charlie Warren.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Rev. David Charles and Rev. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
