David Lee Grissom

David Lee Grissom, age 79 of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 2, 1936 to Wilmer and Evelyn Grissom. He was a farmer, School Bus Driver for Talawanda City Schools; he was a machinist at General Electric, Fisher Body, and Hamilton Tool; he was a Heavy Equipment Operator at Broshear Contractor, Jim Davidson Contractor, Gaston Inc., Silas Shaw Contractors, Rile Inc., James Bryant Plumbing, Progressive Plumbing Company, C&C Excavating, Schenck Land Improvement Contractor and business owner of Grissom Contractors and Site Development. He did volunteer work Grass Cutting for Hamilton Joes Baseball Field, Redeemer Church, Northwest High School Baseball Field, and Holy Name Church and enjoyed Crocheting Afghans and bedspreads for family, friends, and Vitas Health Care.

A graduate of Hanover High School, he married Janet (Engel) Grissom on November 6, 1954, she survives. Also surviving are his children Darrel (Jill) Grissom, Connie (Mike) Schenck and Jenny (Terrence) Zellars; Grandchildren Amy Baker, Holly "Niki" (Gary) Hudson, Adam (Carrie) Grissom, Donnie Schenck, Valerie Schenck, Cory Sickles and Terrence Zellars; Great grandchildren Hannah, Emma, Kara, Dylan, Taylor, William, Gabriel and more on the way; Brother Calvin Rae (Mary) Grissom and sister in laws Carolyn (Danny) Spivey and Donna Bachman. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and Evelyn Grissom.

Funeral Service will be held at Redeemer Church 3431 Hamilton Middletown Road, Hamilton, OH 45011 on Thursday February 4th, 2016 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Craig Pinley officiating. Visitation will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. on Wednesday February 3rd, 2016 from 5 PM-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Redeemer Capital Improvement Fund, 3431 Hamilton Middletown Road, Hamilton, OH 45011.
