David L. Johnson

David L. Johnson, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. David was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 30, 1942 to the late James Jefferson Johnson and Mary Catherine (Bowling) Johnson. David retired from Beckett Paper Company after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed tending to his yard and watching Westerns on TV, but above all, he loved spending time with his family – especially his grandkids. David will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Phyllis Johnson; his children, Shawn (Eryn) Johnson and Misty (James) McKinney; his grandchildren, Hannah (Doug), Emma, Meleah, Jon, Trinity, Jonah, Sophie, and Dylan; his brother, Jim Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio with his son, Pastor Shawn Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family would like to thank all of the healthcare professionals that cared for David over the years for their compassion.
