David G. "D J" Roark Jr., age 23, of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday October 27, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident that morning near Richmond, Indiana. He was born in Hamilton on February 6, 1984 the son of David G. Roark Sr. and Sandra (Gray) Robertson. He was employed at Ford Development. David was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp serving August 25, 2003 to August 24, 2007, during which he served a deployment to Cuba and two deployments to Iraq. On March 21, 2007 in Hamilton he married Ashley Spicer.
He is survived by his wife, Ashley Roark of New Miami; his expected daughter, Hannah; his step-son, Nathan McIntosh; his mother and step-father, Sandra and Roger Robertson of Hamilton; his father, David G, Roark Sr. of Hamilton; his sister, Sarah Roark of Hamilton; his grandmother, Margaret Gray; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cora and Elbert Roark and George Gray.
Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Wednesday, October 31st at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kenneth Roark of World Commissioned Church officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM.
