David P. Romanello

David P. Romanello, age 62 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 11:00 PM. He was born in Cincinnati on September 1, 1947, the son of Samuel and Elizabeth "Betty" (Brodbeck) Romanello. He was employed as the manager of Carillon Catering at Miami University for 16 years, retiring in 2010. David was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church. On March 26, 1994 in Hamilton he was married to Jessica Barkley.

He is survived by his wife Jessica Romanello; two sons, David P. Romanello Jr. and Joshua A. Romanello, all of Hamilton; two brothers, Michael J. (Mary) Romanello and Joseph J. (Nicole) Romanello of Loveland; two sisters, Linda Baughman of Anderson Township and Anne (Kevin) Kiernan of Weston, Florida; several aunts and uncles, Dan (Mary) Romanello, Rose (Paul) Emmerick, Alex Romanello, and Dorothy Schumacher; mother-and father-in-law, Eleanor and Bob Barkley; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two uncles, John Schumacher and Gus Brodbeck; two aunts, Mary Brodbeck and Bess Romanello; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Baughman.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Avenue, on Friday, August 20, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Jeff Bacon, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Hamilton. The family would like to invite family and friends for refreshments after graveside services at St. Teresa Avila, 1175 Overlook Avenue, Cincinnati, 45201.
