David Allan Spaulding, age 49 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Sunday, February 6, 2011. He was born in Hamilton on March 29, 1961 the son of Albert and Bonnie (Newkirk) Spaulding. David was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1984 to 1987 and was employed as a truck driver for Anglin Trucking.
He is survived by his parents, Albert and Bonnie Spaulding; two children, Bryan (Jennifer) Sheeks and Brent Sheeks; a sister, Karen (Glenn) Sandlin; his grandmother, Thelma Newkirk; three grandchildren, Brooke, Sarah Beth, and Caden; three nieces, Jennifer (Kris) Sprague, Sarah (Bruce) Finkbine, and Brittany Sandlin; a great-niece and a great-nephew, Madison and Kaleb Sprague. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett Newkirk, and George and Alberta Spaulding.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Dale French of Eaton Road Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
