David Scott Taylor, aged 53 of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. David was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 30, 1967 to Charles and Betty (nee Ray) Taylor. David was a devoted father and husband. Even during times of hardship, he made sure we were taken care of. There was never a doubt of how much he loved his family. He was an incredibly kind and caring husband and dad.
David was known for his frankness; he was never afraid to voice his opinion on things. His ability to speak honestly and tell the truth, even if it hurt your feelings, was one of his best qualities. He loved to joke and had a damn good sense of humor. David was a lover of classic cars, guns and cooking. He was also known for his strong personal faith in Christ, though he was never a church-going kind of person. He had a strong relationship with God. One of his favorite sayings during times of uncertainty was "I have faith." He was unbelievably strong and he always had an answer.
David is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carolyn Taylor; his children, Owen and Betty Taylor; his sisters, Cathy Taylor, Kim Audretch (Robert), Terri Houston (Dave), Wendy Canfield (Terry); and brothers, Mike Taylor and Greg Taylor; and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jeff.
