David A. Wittman

David A. Wittman, age 75 of Hamilton, died on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. He was born in Hamilton on June 20, 1938 the son of Paul L. and Kathleen E. (Doak) Wittman. A 1956 graduate of Hamilton High School, he served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1958 and later was a member of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. David also operated an electrical contracting business and retired in 2009 as an electrical inspector for the State of Ohio.

In August 1967 he married Claire Gluhm, who survives. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis L. (Candace) Wittman; his sister, Deborah L. (Thomas) Murphy; an aunt, Melva M. Brenner; a brother-in-law, David (Laura) Gluhm; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private prayer service will be conducted on Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Stephen’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to the Michael J.
