Dean F. Wynn, age 74 of Hamilton passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 7:19 PM. He was born in Hamilton on December 7, 1932 the son of Floyd and Mildred (Seegers) Wynn. Dean was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1955. He was employed as a mechanical engineer at Hamilton Tool Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1991, and was currently employed at Wilmington Elks #797 Golf Club. Dean was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing and golf. On September 17, 1960 in Hamilton he married Margaret Menzer.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Wynn of Hamilton; three sons, David (Ginny) Wynn of Batavia, Thomas (partner Marc Cohn) Wynn of Washington, DC, and John (Shaye) Wynn of Waynesville; a daughter, Debra (Doug) Bolton of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Josh, Alicia, Matt, Jessica, Rachel, Megan, and Alexis; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Landen, and Jordan; a sister, Carol Hurst of Hamilton; a brother-in-law, Bill (JoAnn) Menzer of Hamilton; three sisters-in-law, Loma Wynn of Oxford, Jean Menzer of Hamilton, and Mary Ann Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews, including a devoted niece, Julie (Ken) Smith; and many friends, including special friend Jim (June) McCown of Maineville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenny Wynn.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Timothy Bunch, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Dean’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to Drs. J. Michael Smith and Deborah Hauger, and to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospital for their care and concern. Memorial contributions in Dean’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, to St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, or to St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church.
