Deborah J. Lakes

Deborah J. Lakes, age 70 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Home on February 13, 2022. Deborah was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 23, 1951 to James Mooney and Gladys Peel Mooney. Deborah is survived by her loving husband Timothy Lakes, her children James (Niki) Lakes, Mandy (James) Hart. Her grandchildren Emmalee (Adam) Forch, Timothy (Kelsie) Lakes, Austin Hart, Blake Hart, Hanna Hart, Sophie Geisz and Izzy Geisz. As well as her great grandchildren Jordan Forch, Jayce Forch, and Oaklynn Lakes. She is also survived by her brother Marty (Lora) Mooney as well as many other loving family members and friends. Deborah was proceeded in death by her parents and her brother Eddie Mooney.

Debbie was a loving, funny, God fearing woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and praising the Lord at church. She taught Sunday school for many years and spoke the word of God to anyone who would listen - and many times to those who wouldn’t. She fed many hungry people and took in a lot of kids. She loved each of those children like they were her own. Debbie made sure everyone knew her door was always open for those in need and that door was certainly used. Her generous, kind, and funny spirit will truly be missed but we know she is walking with Jesus and having the time of her life.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 6:00PM at Nilles Point Baptist Church, 5177 Winton Road, Fairfield, OH 45014.
