Deborah L. Young

Deborah L. Young, age 60 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Monday, December 8, 2014. She was born in Hamilton on July 5, 1954 to Marcus and Edith (Robinson) Scott. She was preceded in death by her loving parents. Debby graduated from Garfield High School in 1972. Her love and passion for her hometown continued with a 30 year career for the City of Hamilton, retiring in 2002, and Butler County Health Department in 2008. She shared her love for animals over the years with many special pets and the last rescue puppy "Little Poppy" won her heart.

She leaves her husband Bill Young, loving sister and best friend Carol and brother-in-law Bill Messerschmitt; her nephews Marc (Katie) Messershmitt, and Brian (Liz) Messerschmitt; her niece Angie (Joe) Leimbach. The extended little blessings were Carson, Aidan, Brooklyn, Lauren, Austin, and Cora Grace; and many other friends and family.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 1:00PM with Rev. Diane Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff from Bethesda North and to Hospice of Hamilton for their kindness and compassion.
