Deborah A. Schmaltz

Deborah A. Schmaltz, age 72 of Hamilton, passed away at Kettering of Hamilton on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Deborah was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 16, 1949 to Anthony and Ruth (Turner) Kalivoda. She graduated from Taft Senior High School in 1967. On February 15, 1969, she married the love of her life, Michael D. Schmaltz. Deborah was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Kerusso Baptist Church. Deborah will be remembered for her fun-loving nature and good humor, evident by her friendships, ability to know no strangers and putting others before herself.  She was known for her love of baking, especially cupcakes sent in a Justice box with a special note.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael D. Schmaltz; her daughters, Kim (Joe) Mays and Tonya (Rick) Rice; her grand-daughters, Isabella Mays, Kayla (Dave) Lambarth and Chelsea (fiancé, Gavin McCarty) Rice; and great-grandson, Brooks Lambarth. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kerusso Baptist Church, 1069 Millville-Oxford Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Celebration of Life Service to follow at 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Kerusso Baptist Church.
