Debra Kaye Rowland

Debra Kaye Rowland, age 72 of Hamilton, passed away in Burnside, Kentucky on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Debra was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 2, 1954 the daughter of Virgil “Bill” and Patricia (Sams) Rice. Debbie was employed as a Realtor for Huff Realty for more than thirty years, before retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren. On April 17, 1981, in Hamilton, she married Michael Rowland. Together they built a loving and strong foundation for their children.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Michael Rowland; two daughters, Leigha (John) Gleason and Lesley (Clay Hedger) Rowland-Hedger; four grandchildren, Kyler, Trent, Ellie, and Kynslie; four siblings, Sharon Simmons, Brad Allen, and Tracy and Erin; her special nieces, Mindy and Chantelle; her nephew, JJ; and numerous other special friends, family and relatives. Debbie was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Bill and Margaret Rice; her mother, Patricia Swain; her sister, Vickie Murphy; and her aunt, Irene Sexton. Debbie spent a lot of special time with her grandchildren who she adored. They could do no wrong in her eyes. Family was her priority. In her most recent years, she spent the winters at her Florida home visiting the beach and taking her dogs to the harbor. Debbie will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the pleasure to know her.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brad Allen of Crossfire Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
