Debra Kay Wright

Debra Kay Wright, age 67 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Debra was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 26, 1955 to Bradley and Ruth (Oakes) Hacker. On July 26, 1975, she married the love of her life, Timothy Wright, after five years of dating. Together they raised their four children, Jason, Sarah, Joey and Justin. Debra worked at Head Start for several years. She will be remembered for putting others before herself, her great sense of humor and her love of caring for people. Debra was a former member of New Miami First Church of God, where she was saved and grew her love for the Lord; in whose arms she’s in now.

Debra is survived by her husband of 47 years, Timothy Wright; her children, Timothy Jason Wright and Justin (Shanelle) Wright; her grandchildren, Kaiden, Tanner, Evan Joseph, Reese, Maxwell and Hannah; her brothers, Michael, David, Tom and Brian Hacker; and numerous friends and family. Debra was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Sarah and Joey Wright; her brother, Jeff Hacker; and her nephews, Chris and Darren Hacker.

Visitation will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions can be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
