Delbert Mallicote, age 93, passed away at Chesterwood Village on Sunday, June 16, 2013. He was born in Rock Castle County, Kentucky on February 16, 1920 to Hobert and Bertha (Spurlock) Mallicote. On April 29, 1950 in Richmond, Indiana he married Ruth Campbell, and they were married for 63 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Mallicote; a son, Richard Wayne Mallicote; a granddaughter, Kristi (Kevin) Allen; two great-grandchildren, Saydie and Parker Allen; and a sister, Thelma Downey. He was preceded in death by a son, David Gregory Mallicote; his parents; and two sisters, Betty Newman, and Marilyn Butler.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southwest Ohio.
