Delia Smith-Dimmett

Delia Smith-Dimmett, age 88 of Fairfield, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, December 1, 2013. She was born in Clay County, KY on June 4, 1925 to A.J. and Rose (Baker) Hoskins. Delia was a CNA at Crestwood Nursing Home for 30 years, retiring in 1997. She was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother, and loved to travel. Delia was a member of the East River Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son; James E. (Lynda) Smith; daughter, Christine (Eldon) Phillips; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jehu Hoskins of London, KY. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Austin Smith, and William Dimmett; brothers, James and Clifton Hoskins; and her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dan Walters of Tri-County Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to your charity of choice in Delia’s honor.
