Della Mae Chasteen

Della Mae Chasteen, age 86 of Oxford, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Della was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 15, 1936 to the late Michael Cain, Sr. and Maymie Frances (Kirby) Cain. On June 12, 1954, she married Herbert D. Chasteen, Sr. She enjoyed flowers and when able, attending church. She was a devoted Christian and loved God and her family with all of her heart.

Della will be dearly missed by her children, Herbert (Kim) Chasteen, Jr. and Sheila Clark; her grandchildren, Heather (Jonathan) Hebrank, Jennifer Jones, Ashley Clark, and Haleigh (Thomas) Grier; her great-grandchildren, Abigail Hebrank, Bentley Hebrank and Emery Jones; her two sisters, Dorothy Gentile and Norma Smith; and Greg Cain, whom she considered a brother; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Della was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert D. Chasteen, Sr.; her brothers, William Cain and Michael Cain, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
