Delmer "Dubbie" Hall, age 74 of Fairfield, passed away at home on Saturday, June 25, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hazard, KY on June 12, 1942 to Edward and Roberta (Hamons) Hall. Dubbie was employed at GM for 33 years. On September 7, 1963 Delmer married Ola Mae Cook. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Dubbie enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, bowling, golfing, and playing Bingo with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Ola Mae Hall, his children, Rhonda (Doug) Koch, Ronald (Linda) Hall, Kimberly (Michael) Cobb, his grandchildren, Angel (Chris) Thompson, Jeremy (Devin) Harris, Billy Yates, Christina Yates, Cody Yates, Chelsea Hall, Brody Cobb, one great grandson, Zachary Thompson, his sister, Judy Hall, and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Yates, his siblings, James Lloyd, James Rant, Edward Jr., Kenneth, and Shirlann, and his parents. The family would like to thank Dr. John Held, Dr. Paula Weisenberger, Cassandra "Cassie" Wainscott of Heartland Hospice, and all the Bingo friends he’s made over the years.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11AM with Scott McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 5-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
