Dennis James Jones

Dennis James Jones (callsign KA8YRN), age 65 of Hamilton, passed away at Jewish Hospital on Friday, January 31, 2025. Dennis was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 12, 1959 to Betty Louise (Cox) Jones and the late James Frederick Jones. Dennis grew up in New Miami and was a professional driver for Pilot for many years. He enjoyed hunting and was an amateur radio operator since his early 20’s. He also enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Fort Hamilton branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Above all, Dennis loved spending time with his family.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Carole Jones and his sons, Dennis James (Katie) Jones, II, and James Berlin (Cassandra) Jones; his mother, Betty Louise Jones; his grandchildren, Dennis James Jones, III, James Berlin Jones, II, Peylynn Jones, Lailynn Jones, and Gabriel Jones; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, James Frederick Jones.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Memorial Service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013 with his best friend, Gary Witt officiating.
